Charity benefits from online parking fundraising initiative
Sheffield Hospitals Charity will receive funding through an online discount scheme run by parking firm Q-Park.
A hospitals charity is to benefit from an online parking payment initiative being run by a UK-wide car park firm.
The funds will be ploughed into supporting patients and their families at the Royal Hallamshire and Northern General hospitals, Charles Clifford Dental Hospital, Weston Park Cancer Hospital and Jessop Wing Maternity Hospital.
Each year the charity invests more than £2m a year in new equipment, research, support and buildings.
Through the deal those wanting to buy parking fees online can use a promotional code and receive a 10% discount, with the same proportion being donated to the Sheffield Hospitals Charity. The donation and discount is being made applicable acros s Q-Park’s network, which includes London, Leeds and Manchester.
Raising funds online
“We are really excited to launch this new partnership with Q-Park, which will provide drivers with the opportunity to raise crucial funds for the charity simply by parking,” said Richard Coteau, Corporate and Major Donor Manager at Sheffield Hospitals Charity.
“By using the discount code, your donation will help Sheffield Hospitals Charity fund research into better treatments and life saving equipment for patients throughout South Yorkshire.”
